As consumed in his rage at watching Audrey be shocked, Nathanael didn't forget about his little brother, "Sam, take Keiko away from here." He said very deliberately through gritted teeth; trying not to lose control completely. The electricity dancing on his hands was more pronounced now, and thunder rumbled outside.

Thunder?Vanessa glanced upwards at the sky, noting a few lighting rays hidden behind the clouds. The helli0n trucks proceeded to move forward, a few Generation three's were around one car, another had a Generation two standing outside. Glancing over at a couple of ANF members, they all moved in closer, as the darkening sky hid them from their enemy's sight.

    --------------
Little did the ANF know, the generation two Isotope removed his lenses, watching the darkening sky, smiling a little nefariously. Occult Division member Kishin, otherwise known as Zach-0564, started to shift the wind's direction towards the holiday inn, the branches around the building picked up began to form a small morse code against the front door to inform the other member inside. If he was still alive, that the Helli0n were ready to strike.

Audrey cried out from the electric shock; her back automatically arching and her legs almost collapsing. Looking into Nathanael's eyes, she was actually scared. She had never seen that level of rage from him--ever. However, she only caught a brief glimpse of it before her eyes glazed over with a vision.

Teenagers in army fatigues bounded towards the Holiday Inn out of the woods. Teenagers wearing uniforms with an embroidered 'H' on the chest poured from Helli0n vehicles. As the battle was minutes from starting, a figure garbed in black stood on the roof of a nearby building.

And then a voice echoed in her ears, "Long time, no see." Audrey could tell it held a tight smile.

The present returning, Audrey realized that was probably one of her clearest visions. Perhaps the electric shock had stimulated her brain and made it that much better.

Whatever; back to the main issue.

"So Jett," Audrey said conversationally, "I know about your Occult Division. I was actually once a part of it." That must've been a bombshell for the others, but she ignored any reactions, "It's a super secret organization. Nearly every isotope has no idea it exists. To them; you're a renegade. You're in as much sh*t as we are right now. Oh yeah, and the ANF is here too. They don't take to Helli0n so kindly, and I imagine they'll kinda like us renegades. And I'm going to rat your ass out to them when they get here; assuming Helli0n doesn't kill you first."

She paused to let that sink in before adding, "So maybe you shag some ass out of here, and we'll be willing to let you off the hook for trying to kill us. And can you please let me go? I have a wedgie that's kinda bothering me."

Wasn't life fun? Not that Audrey really expected to be let go; Jett was Occult Division. Nuts at his pay grade didn't crack. Not easy, at least.

Sam nodded and scooped up the little boy in his arms. He was sure Keiko wouldn't be happy with being taken from his big brother. Before he even had a chance to react to it though, he had the boy pressed tightly against his chest and was out the door.

He joined Eric and Polly under the shield and noticed the sky above. That would be Nate, he knew. He only hoped he could control that storm enough to keep it from hurting his fellow renegades.

"No!" Keiko shouted in protest at being carried out, "You can't leave him in there!" He pounded Sam's chest with his small fists, but it had roughly the same effect as shouting at a brick wall: useless.

Audrey's brief comment about once being in Occult Division threw Nathanael for a loop, but it didn't reduce his emotions in the slightest. In addition, Nathanael noticed something odd. He knew he was causing the weather outside, but the wind...something was off about the wind.

The Aussie had enough experience to know that when he was in a mood like this, he controlled everything; down to every last swirl in the clouds. What if...what if the people coming had isotopes? Obviously they would, but a weather manipulator like him.

As far as Nathanael knew, they hadn't made another isotope with powers like his. But if it was on a smaller scale...if someone could manipulate only the wind. That would explain it.

Nathanael's eyes bored into Jett's, "I would listen to her. The isotopes and ions are already working their powers."

As Audrey spoke, Reaver caught sound of some random tapping that sounded too familiar. Quickly looking towards the main door, he saw a branch hit the glass of the door in a manner that seemed too controlled. It was almost like... no it was.

    Morse Code.

Half-listening to Audrey, Reaver paid attention to the tapping, taking the message it had.

    Helli0n was indeed coming.

    So what?

Applying a little more force to the headlock, Reaver glared at the australian man, all the while talking to the goth Isotope.

"And? If Helli0n soldiers see a group of rogues rounded up and an Isotope with a Helli0n badge, who do you think they will believe? It's over. You are all caught." Reaver said, his glance not leaving the weather-controlling Isotope. So what if Audrey was in the 0ccult Division? She was a renegade now. That made her one of Reaver's targets.

    Gerald 0333

    Post  Allan 0526 on 20/7/2012, 11:54 pm

    Gerald 0333
"Listen up," Gerald growled, his voice broadcast into every helmet on his strike team. "We have our orders. See that dot on your HUD? That's our destination. Little place, a hotel from what satellite picks up." He turned about, looking at the reflective helmets, uniforms embroidered with a powerful H. It symbolized everything; the cause, the mission, and this entire war. It was about a freedom, a unity the likes of which humanity had never seen.

"We have reason to believe this is where the ANF has their headquarters established. Isotope movement has been spotted in the area. We move in, and cut off the snake at its head. I'm linking up your weapons, initializing the serum overload." He eyed his men nervously. This serum could null the power of any Isotope. Not for long, but those few seconds were more than enough time to eliminate the enemy. Or, for that matter, him.

"We are Helli0n, and we fight for freedom. What we do today could be the difference between a broken, scattered world and a unified planet. Let's make that difference. Any questions?" It was foreign leading others. As a lone wolf, he was used to being a solo operative. But with funds running low, Helli0n's remaining Isotopes were few and far between. Thus, human recruits in armor. Not quite up to par, but they would have to do. A quick hand gesture, and his team fell in behind him, a v formation with nine total, Gerald at the lead.

Quietly, he leapt up into the tree, using small projections on his hands to stick into the bark and climb up to the top. A neat trick, it had saved his life many times in this war against the ANF. A quick double flash of green, and his team split, some crawling on the ground, others sprinting ahead to guard the clearing. Gerald dropped and rolled, absorbing the fall and sprinting towards the building. Leaning on the side, he could hear voices. A single flash on red, and all movement ceased.

His body morphed, small projectiles forming all along his arms. Two dozen should do, though he expected no resistance. They would surrender or be destroyed. As per protocol, he grabbed a stick and tapped the dashed pattern to warn any Helli0n operatives inside. No response.

He moved forward, an ominously framed figure in the doorway. "Surrender now, and I promise no one will be hurt. You're surrounded on all sides." He brought forward his arms, straight at the scattering of figures in the lobby. "Come along quietly now."

And Helli0n finally makes an appearance.

Looking at the Isotope in the doorway, Reaver reacted fast. Quickly switching his arms so that he had Audrey in a one-arm chokehold, Reaver then reached into his pocket, and pulled out his Comtran.

"Hold! I'm with Helli0n, Isotope! Identify yourself!" Reaver sounded at the man with spikes coming out of his arms with a voice that matched that of a drill sergeant. After he spoke, he brought his head closer to Audrey's ear.

"Tell your psychic to throw that couch at the entrance. This is 0ccult Division business, and by the looks of it, that man is not operating under the Mortimer Protocol. So you have two options: be captured by me and live, or die by whatever method that man wants." Reaver said to Audrey in a low whisper, glancing back at Nathanael to see if he was behaving himself. The psychic he was refering to was Eric.

How Audrey was supposed to communicate to the twins what they wanted was a mystery, but thankfully it was unnecessary. But it wasn't Eric that came to the rescue. It was Sam that could do the heavy lifting. It really amounted to the same thing, though.

Without even having to reenter the lobby, Sam took over the situation by hurling not only a couch, but a coffee table and a broken old television at the older Isotope. He would have taken a shot at Jett, but with Audrey as a human meat shield, he was a little off limits right now.

    Gerald 0333

A friendly? With the enemy? There was no record on file about any previous attempts to infiltrate by Helli0n at this location. And by the looks of it, they were very clearly not leaders of the ANF, but rather a ragtag group of deserter Isotopes. It was time for Mortimer Protocol then. He quickly signaled a triple green, and his team advanced on.

"Gerald 0333, Comm-" all the air poured from his lungs as a couch hit him squarely in the chest, sending him flying back out the door. He was getting sloppy. They would all die. Except that boy from Helli0n; he would need to be interrogated.

Ducking under a flying TV, Gerald rolled into the room, spinning and launching a barrage of missiles in a 360 degree arc across the room. He just had to keep them occupied a little longer... Even if the strike team couldn't neutralize the threat, the blunt force of Helli0n's entire army marching toward their location would.

    Allan 0526

Floating high above the ANF forces, Allan glanced outwards to the scenic, decimated town of Normal. A blank city, buildings and structures of life just like anywhere else. But this fighting, war after war, was clearly taking its toll on humanity. It was a shame really.

He looked down briefly, marveling at the ease at which he could access the metals with the new belt the ANF had given him. One press of the button on the outside, and millions of microscopic pieces of metal were immediately released into his blood stream. And somehow, they had managed to engineer such efficiency into the little piece, as he had yet to run out of metal mid battle.

He glanced down, tapping the buzzer on his walkie talkie twice to indicate the coast was clear ahead. Far below, somebody must have gotten the message, as the battalion of Ions began to advance. Pushing backwards, Allan rocketed forward, inspecting the city for any other Helli0n activity. If there was a Helli0n agent, odds were something dangerous was afoot. He almost missed it; the half a dozen or so soldiers were expertly blended into their environment, and all he could make out were the slight movements of their visored helmets. But they were sneaking about as if they didn't want to be seen. But who was there? No reported ANF activity was anywhere in the city.

And less than 3 miles away came the entire Helli0n army.

"Hostiles found, preparing to engage," Allan said over the coursing wind. Another beep from the walkie talkie indicated they had heard his message. Decending farther down, he tapped his side, letting the copper flow through his arms, flaming balls growing in his hands. If Kirie saw what he was about to do, oh how she would kill him... No. He couldn't let the weaknesses of his past interfere with the present. His lost, presumably dead friends, would have to wait.

Flames poured forth in a giant torrent, drenching the forest edge with tongues of flame. Everything lit under the incredible heat, the trees becoming gigantic tiki torches. The six soldiers left below the trees screamed from the coursing pain, but it was over quickly.

Something flew by, barely brushing the hair on his face. Allan looked down, to see that three additional soldiers had made it out of the woods before he had lit them. Face grim, his hands glowed as the flames came back to them- and then something hit him. And he was falling, fast. The pain in his leg was overwhelming, but he slammed his hand against the Aluminum, willing it to pump into his blood and bring him back up to safety. No luck. The flames were gone, presumably from whatever had hit him.

Falling helplessly through the air, Allan grabbed his leg, staring with blank eyes at the pinpointed hole straight through it. Luckily, no bones had been shattered, but it was bleeding out quickly. If he had fire, he could have cauterized it. But apparently, now was a good time to fail. He stared down, eyes watering from the pain and the wind, as the ground approached. He'd be a pancake. Flattened. dead.

Kirie didn't need to be by Allan to know what was happening. The animals he had killed from the blast of fire shrieked in agony; their minds immediately reached out to the nature isotope. Not that Kirie could do anything, but it was an automatic reation to the excrutiating pain they felt before they died.

Their pain seared across the mental connection, and Kirie fell to her knees with a scream. Fire blazed across her body; burning her wings, scorching down her throat, reducing her fur to ash...no, she was fine, but that's exactly how the animals died.

Through heaving gasps, Kirie managed to open her eyes, but in their panic, the birds in the woods stole her mind. She looked through their sharp eyes; her many wings pumping frantically to get away from the roaring flames. Their eyes became trained on a figure falling in the sky. Just in time, they caught the flames from his hands dying out.

Kirie fought to regain control of her mind, and when her watering pain filled eyes opened to see the lobby, she whispered, "Allan?"

Audrey, deciding to take her chances than die in a headlock, made her move. When Jett had transferred her to a one-arm hold, she had been moved slightly to his side. The goth sharply through her knee into the back of Jett's knee; setting him off balance for a second and allowing her to rip herself free and take a roll across the linoleum floor.

That done, Audrey fled to the stairs and was in no time flying up them. Never again would she let her glaive leave her hand; let alone seven flights away.

Upon seeing Audrey free herself, the electricity from Nathanael's hands died. A good thing too, because not wanting a repeat performance, the Aussie grabbed Kirie from the floor and put her behind him. He backed up to put themselves out of range, and then tackled the nature isotope to avoid the flying daggers.

    "Gerald?" Nathanael said incredulously.

    Gerald 0333

"I don't believe I've had the pleasure," Gerald growled, his skin stretching outwards by the second. "Gerald 0333. Pleased to meet your acquaintance." Suddenly, his implants began to scream as immediately dots from his team began disappearing. Within seconds, six of them were gone. It looked as though he would have to finish this on his own. Or escape and bring back up.

His arms whipped out, gigantic rope-like projections shooting from his hands and wrapping themselves tightly around the man who, somehow, recognized his name. He gave it a hard yank, and his prey flew right back to him, wrapped soundly in tentacles of skin.
"Now listen. Nobody move. My fight is not with you; if anyone can give us information about where the ANF is, their base of operation, anything, I'll let him go. And give me the boy. The one with the Comtran. I'll forget I ever saw you."

It wasn't quite the truth. Helli0n was coming, and they would ransack the building. But all he needed was the location. His mission had been a quick, engage, assassinate, escape plan. Not fighting a dozen Isotopes with no backup.

Reaver knew that all the Isotope said about forgetting them were lies.

Getting up, Reaver knew that he was lucky not to have been hit by any of the spikes the man sent out. Ironically, when Audrey knocked him off balance, it moved the white-haired Isotope lower to the ground, and decreased the chances of him getting hit.

Flipping open his Comtran, Reaver quickly inputed a code in it and shut it, placing the device back into his pocket.

"Sorry, but this is my mission. You're not part of it." Reaver said coldly to Gerald before throwing his knife at him, the conductive wire attached to it following. Reaver was aiming for the chest.

    ------------------

Outside, a lone figure stood on top of the Holiday Inn, observing another figure that was falling towards the ground. The sun had setted long ago, and now the dusk was about to end. Silent, the lone figure pulled something from his pocket and threw it towards the falling man. The object was a titanium watch. Hopefully the falling man knew how to catch.

"Let's go!" Vanessa yelled, charging forth with the other Ions, immediately stricking down some surprised enemy personnel. Ahead, flames sprouted from above, wiping out other Helli0n regiments. But noticing some escape from the burning landscape, were starting to get shot down by the young Ion Meira, the blood user.

Producing her newly sharpened Dual blades, she led the others onward.
    --------
The member must've gotten the message.
Kishin glanced around where he stood, watching for any ambushes in the deserted back of the Holiday Inn, the sounds of battle were commencing not far from his right. But that didn't faze his focus, as he sent another gust of wind towards the front of the building, stronger than the last it would surprise any people in front, but that was the reaction he craved. Slowly and silent like the breeze, he moved to the front of the building.

    Allan 0526

It was hard to judge the height, the speed at which he was falling, but the ground loomed, dangerously close. He closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable... and something hit him in the face. He opened his eyes to see a watch floating, keeping time with him. He snatched it from the air, manually jammed open the fuel insert on the far left side, and prayed it would work... nothing happened. Something was wrong with his powers, he could feel the emptiness. The ground was closer. Couldn't be more than 150 meters or so. Hopefully, the trees would break his neck before he could hit the ground. It would be a quick death.

Suddenly, there was a boy. He grabbed Allan by the foot, and suddenly, they were gone. A blinding white light coursed his eyes, and slowly, he could make out people, dozens of people running about. But he couldn't move his feet. In fact, he couldn't move anything below his shoulders.

"Hang on, just a sec. Bad calculation on my bad." He turned to see the boy close his eyes once again, the ground spun under his feet, and they were back on solid ground.

"Who the he** are you?" Allan asked, turning to face this strange boy, who was hanging to his leg.

Quickly, he got up, brushed off his pants, and tried to look dignified. "My name is Tyrion, the world's first teleporter."

"Well, I guess I owe you my life. Thanks, kid. I'm Allan. Has the ANF moved in yet?"

"We just engaged the enemy, the right flank from what I hear."

"Well, I'll need your help. Can you get me to the Holiday Inn at 42nd and Grant?" Allan begged. Flying would take far too long, and he wasn't sure if his powers were back or not yet.

"If you mean the only Holiday Inn in Normal, of course I do! Saw it while you were plummeting. Grab on." Allan took Tyrion's outstretched hand, and they were gone.

He saw the blade coming, tried to move out of the way, position his hostage in front, but it was too late. The cord struck him in the right shoulder, just below the bone. He let out a sharp cry as his skin contracted and peeled, trying to dislodge the intruding weapon, but it was to no use.

"Da** it!" Gerald growled. What sort of Helli0n agent would engage his own ally? He unraveled the hostage, flinging him back across the room to where he had been before. "Stay back. This is Helli0n business."

He turned back to the kid. "So, you and your little grappling hook going to destroy me? Doubtable. Helli0n will make you pay." Blades on his hands popped forth, sawing into the cable attached to the knife.

The twins each wrapped a protective arm behind Polly as a massive rush of wind hit them. It was unlike anything they had expected, very uncommon for one of Nate's storms. Why in God's name would he ever use the wind to hurt his allies outside? The wind brought them to their knees quickly as they tried to stabilize themselves. They couldn't possibly have noticed the controller strolling casually up to them.

Miri did though, from her window inside. Her ghosts had advised her to stay inside, close to a window. A skirmish was going on inside, everything was wet, and one of the fighters had electrical powers. However, the weather outside was growing constantly worse. She narrowed her eyes at the figure moving towards the building, wishing the others would notice him. She pulled the screen off her window, shoved the window open, and crawled outside.

The wind was startling, but she trudged towards the others, pointing at the stranger.

There seemed to be a maximum of three people already in the front. Or that was the case, until another girl crawled out of the Inn's window, pointing in Zach's general direction. However, his focus was unfazed as his stoic glance turned sinister, his eyes narrowed slightly as the wind's howling answered his call. "Well now, it looks like today's my lucky day.. Renegades. ready for the picking." He remarked glancing over to his targets. He was now in full view, as the wind playfully swirled around his fingertips. "Now why don't you all come into custody?" He ordered, as he flung another gust of wind at them.

"Can your shields stop the wind?" Miri asked Eric hopefully as she gripped his shit, in danger of blowing away.

He shook his head in frustration. "I can't get it flowing properly! The wind is screwing them up!" It would be up to Polly and Sam then. And Polly could only help if she got close enough to the boy right now. Miri knew her powers weren't exactly helpful for fighting. She knew what would help, though. She trudged back to her window, throwing herself out of the brunt of the wind's power.

Sam searched desperately for something good to throw. A car perhaps? A mailbox? A broken door?

"Now, now.. retreating is a bad option, you leave the others to perish. I guess here there is no "Us" in team." Kishin whispered, withdrawing the wind a little bit with his right hand, but with his left, he shifted the wind's movement picking up any medium-sized gravel off the ground, hurling it towards them. "What's wrong? Can't fight back?" He smirked, taunting the remaining threats standing there.

Eric, always the hothead, cracked his knuckles with annoyance. What a little brat. Throwing taunts from a distance, hurling pebbles. It made his blood boil. He shared a look with his brother, a wicked grin growing on his face as they communicated silently. Sam looked terrified, but shrugged as he readied his powers.

"What's the matter pipsqueak?" he threw back with his hands on his hips, trying to make it look like the wind wasn't affecting his balance as much as it was. "Afraid to get any closer?"

"Oh, so that's how you want to play.." Zach responded, summoning more force within his body, suddenly his left foot was in front of him, as he started running towards them, a sudden gust of wind came in behind him, increased his movement, making him appear near the Taunting Isotope. "Boo." He stated, as he then appeared in front of him head making contact with his. The whirlwind behind him, knocking into the others. With more force than before.
